We had a great week last week securing 100% profit for all readers and aim to take this into week two!
MAGIC MARK: The early part of the season is always difficult, until form is established. All of the teams from the Championship to League two have played twice now, once in the league and once in the cup midweek.
Millwall could see themselves in danger this season after the last game of last season they hypothetically could have been relegated. They go to Ipswich where the home team has only lost one of the last five meetings at Portman Road against Millwall. The visitors have really struggled to find the score sheet in five of the last six league matches. They need to shake off their lack of goal scoring, as this will pick points up at the end of the day. Ipswich in hindsight will not have an easy task at seeing Millwall off, as defensively the away side generally keep games tight. With the season too early to make outright calls but cannot resist on form that Ipswich can continue their excellent form against Millwall at home.
Our second selection goes with MK Dons and Crewe both to score. MK Dons have scored in all four prior league fixtures against Crewe. The visitors are looking for their first win at MK Dons in the league, having failed to win in their two previous attempts. In response the two sides will want to get their first win on the board, so seeing both teams scoring in our opinion is greater than a 50% chance.
Our last selection goes with Oxford to beat Bury, with the home team winning their last four league games. The last three saw convincing wins of a three goal margin. Oxford took Portsmouth apart on their opener, beating them 4-1 and Bury will have no easy task considering that last season they won the fewest games on the road, only mustering three wins all season away. Oxford will be aware that they have just won one of the last five with Bury, but can take the positive that they were unbeaten in three of the five. We feel on the basis that Oxford were eliminated from the League cup in midweek, that their focus is on promotion this season in the league.
Magic Mark selections:
DOUBLE CHANCEWe begin at Ewood park where Blackburn host Nottingham Forest this weekend. Blackburn have won their last three matches at home to Forest, with the visitors struggling for goals against Blackburn. Under stable management, Nottingham Forest have got off to the best start they could have wanted with two wins on the spin and Billy Davies style will suggest that Forest will maintain their disciplined approach and will look at going outright for the win at Blackburn. Forest are good enough for at least a draw and are capable of the win.
Watford meant business in their opening games, as this Bournemouth getting off to the best start they could have hoped for in the Championship. the home side will show their class this weekend and will be dangerous opponents for any visiting team this season. Watford have seen a lot of transfer window transactions over the summer and their focus is for premier league football next season. Bournemouth will hold out and resist as much as they can, but Watford will not slip up on their first home league game this season.
Our last selection goes on Oxford not to lose. Again, as mentioned in the Magic Mark section, Oxford will be dangerous all season long and certainly do not anticipate them slipping up at home.
