Super League round 2
We can be happy that last week ended in a profit regarding the Rugby League.
I have 3 games out of the 7 fixtures that I think are slightly out by the bookmakers regarding the handicaps. Just to inform people this season I am waiting for team news and who is up against who for the try scorer tips, after a number of years research and tips this is the best way trust me (team news is imperative). The handicaps are better to get on early as the handicaps can reduce for the + or – quite significantly. The bookmakers were so good last season with the handicaps; this year I will be betting the handicap no draw market, we got burnt so many times last year for a example a +10 game would finish 30-20 so the bookmakers were getting the handicap draw at 16/1 they must have made some huge dollar.
I shall now go through the 3 games of round 2 where my handicaps do not match the bookmakers 4 out of the 7 fixtures match my pre handicap.
Huddersfield v Wigan 8pm Friday Skysports
I had this game -2 to Wigan but Huddersfield have had injury after injury and even yesterday they have had their key manDanny Brough pull out. The bookmakers have pitched this game at +14 Huddersfield. Yes Huddersfield have injuries but they are at home I feel +14 is on the high side maybe taking their new injuries into account I would maybe say +10 was fair. Wigan I find very workman like, Hudddersfield will be playing for their fallen star Luke Robinson who sadly had to retire this week due to a hip injury at only 31 years old. I feel Huddersfield still have enough quality and power out there to trouble Wigan.

Catalan v Hull 5:00pm Saturday Skysports
There are many people out there that say this maybe Hulls year. Im not sure abouth that statement but I can tell this is certainly their best chance this is the most expensive squad Hull have ever assembled. They destroyed Salford in the first round. Catalan are still gelling and this will take time as they have had 8 new signings in the off season. Hulls team spirit is certainly very high and they have a confidence about them this year this is what I like. I had the handicap as -2 I thought the predicted handicap may have been -4 but to see this as -8 for Catalan with Hulls confidence and new aura about them I was surprised to see this so high.
Hull +8.5 handicap 5/6 Betway 4pts
Widnes v Leeds 3pm Sunday
This game I had a feeling that the bookmakers would make Leeds decent favourites and I was correct. I feel that this is a mistake I fancy Widnes certainly on the handicap and even to win this game. Leeds are still adjusting from the loss of theirtalisman Peacock and also their points master Sir Kevin Sinfield. Like Manchester United this year is a huge adjustment period for Leeds. Widnes are pretty formidable on their own pitch and was impressed with how organised they were on Sunday against Wakefield. I think Widnes are a better side than people give them credit for to be honest. Maguire was holding the strings for Leeds but now he is injured leaving the ground on a leg brace last week, this certainly spells trouble for the Rhinos. Widnes handicap and victory looks good.
